On October 20th, we will host the final round of the 2024 MSUK Drift Pro Championship at Snetterton, part of the Modified Live Show alongside the Time Attack and Racing Hondas Championship.
For this event, we’re excited to bring back a ‘Lights’ version of our Championship as a unique, one-off event.
As in Japan, ‘Lights’ refers to a more regional level of competition aimed at welcoming new and non-current drivers to a whole, end-of-season competition.
The Lights event is open to drivers from various championships and skill levels. Depending on participation, it may be scaled into a Top 32 format with open technical entry rules.
The event will be held under an MSUK permit, adhering to strict safety regulations, just like our main Championship and all MSUK-governed motorsport events.
All drivers must hold an MSUK Drift License, which will be gifted for the event.
We’ve relaxed some of our technical rules specifically for Lights, encouraging a more comprehensive range of cars and drivers who may not meet our full requirements but are keen to compete.
If Lights is well-received, we may host events in 2025 and beyond. We’ll also be scouting for talented drivers to join the main Championship.
We’re committed to growing the sport from regional to national levels and exploring the potential for future regional and national events, depending on support and participation.
