Toms Jankovski crashed in his Top 16 run with Gediminas Levickas, while Janis Jurka suffered from an engine problem and could not make it to the tandem runs.
Local hero, Formula Drift winner and Drift Masters driver Kristaps Blušs got an OMT with the 2021 Witch Kettle Valdas Vindžigelskis winner.
On the other side of the bracket, Drift Happens team member Donatas Macpreikšas performed three excellent chase runs with Estonian drivers: Ragnar Viinapuu (Top 16), Fredrik Strielkov (Top 8) and Karel Piiroja (Top 4). His lead runs were also perfect, and the Lithuanian driver advanced to the final.
Another Drift Happens team member, Gediminas Levickas, beat Kristaps Blušs in the Top 4, advanced to the final – the Latvian driver made a critical error – and went into the no-go zone in his lead run.
The leading qualifier, G. Levickas, gave his all in the final and attempted a full-speed entry over the crest but hit the tyres before OZ1. D. Macpreikšas avoided the crash, overtook the Toyota driver, and won the final.
Kristian Burkovs leads the championship before the three-week final round in the Bikernieki circuit in Riga.
The championship standings before round six.
