With the smoke only just dispersed from the 2024 Formula DRIFT Final Round at Irwindale Speedway last month, the series is already announcing its 2025 event schedule and provisional driver lineup.
In addition to the 2025 schedule, the series has announced the provisional driver lineup for the PRO and PROSPEC Championships. All familiar names remain, joined by new license winners from other series.
The 2025 FD PRO Championship will welcome the top three finishers from this year’s PROSPEC Finals, including the new Champion, Tommy Lemaire, Connor O’Sullivan and veteran Austin Matta.
Another new arrival to the series will be Jack Shanahan from Ireland, a multiple Irish and British drift champion and a two-time runner-up in Drift Masters. He’s also Conor Shanahan’s brother, who made a big splash in the FD PRO competition this year.
Another new name to watch is Luke Fink from Australia. The drift champion and YouTuber is determined to leave his mark on the 2025 FD PRO Championship as he’s done Down Under.
Currently, several drivers are petitioning to join PROSPEC, including a familiar name, Cameren Sorensen. The third and youngest Sorensen sibling, the 13-year-old, is undoubtedly hoping to recreate the impact Amanda and Branden have achieved.
The PROSPEC entry list will be finalized shortly, and all successful candidates will be notified.
