The qualification day is done at Drift Masters 2025 Round 1 in Spain, Madrid. James Deane came first with a 93.5 run, Wiecek scored 91.7 and Tor Arne Kvia finished third with a 91.2.

Last year’s champion, Lauri Heinonen is waiting the battles from the 8th position. Two of the rookie drivers, Jason Banet and Dave Egan are in for the Top 32. Jakub Przygonski and Alex Holovnia managed to fix their cars and get themselves in the fight after serious crashes during the practice session.

The day hasn’t ended up at this point: the qualification showdown brought unseen drama for the top 2 qualified drivers. In the final of the showdown Deane and Wiecek went in a head-to head battle for the championship extra points but the Irishman came in way too hot pushing Wiecek’s A90 Supra in the concrete wall. Piotr Wiecek got the victory in the showdown but the damage seems to be huge in his car after the collision with Deane.
Some heavy-weight battles are expected for tomorrow’s competition in Madrid, take a look on the Top 32 bracket below.

The action continues tomorrow on Red Bull TV, make sure to tune in from 12:15 CET!
