On the 9th of February, organizers of the Drift Masters European Championship (DMEC) announced the schedule of the 2023 season. There is no driver’s list yet, but the advertisement mentioned 50 drivers lineup and 22 nations. So here we go!
Round 1: Ireland 🇮🇪
6-7th May, Mondello Park, Kildare
For the most insane season attempted by DMEC, we must start at one of the most insane drift tracks anywhere in Europe, which sees Drift Masters start in Ireland’s Mondello Park. There was no Irishman in the final runs for the first time in history, while Piotr Wiecek won over Oliver Randalu.
Round 2: Sweden 🇸🇪
9-10th of June, Drivecenter Arena, Fällfors
A very fast and challenging circuit opened its doors for the first time in 2019. In 2022 we saw three Irishman in the Top 4 whiles Jack Shanahan claimed the top podium position.
Round 3: Finland 🇫🇮
7-8th of July, Power Park Huvivaltio, Alahärmä
For the first time in history, the Drift Masters grid goes to Finland. We are sure that locals Juha Rintannen, Henri Haanpaa and Lauri Heinonen will be contenders for the podium on local soil.
Round 4: Latvia 🇱🇻
29-30th of July, Bikernieki, Riga
It’s Riga, baby! It will be no surprise that the world’s most famous drift event returns in 2023, and nobody will be unhappy with that. As always, fans can expect an extreme full-throttle layout, crazy parades and all the mayhem a European drift event should contain.
Round 5: Germany 🇩🇪
17-19th of August, Ferropolis, Dessau
Thought we forgot about Germany’s incredible “City of Iron”? Think again! For the penultimate round of DMEC 2023, we return to the madness of the Iron Drift King event in Ferropolis’ open-air colosseum, where our DMEC drivers will push harder than ever in front of the possibly the craziest backdrop of any drift event anywhere in the World, to see who will take one step closer to becoming the 2023 Drift Masters European Champion at our season finale.
Round 6: Poland 🇵🇱
15-16th of September, Warsaw, tba.
