The organizers of Iron Drift King and Drift Masters agreed on a unique way to choose the wildcard drivers for the stage in Ferropolis, Germany. For the first time in history, the 10 wildcards will be decided by a voting system in which anyone can participate.
An unlimited number of votes can be purchased, one for 0,99 €. The process takes around three months, so drivers and teams must maintain support to attain the wildcard. More than 100 drivers from across Europe applied for the wildcard vote. And the fight for the 10 spots seems fierce.
Only three days after the start, Sandra Janušauskaitė has already collected more than 2000 votes, and many drivers are close to 1000.
