Hungarian National Championship – Award Ceremony

Hunakamo Sport Management, organizer of the Hungarian National Drift Championship, held its annual award ceremony last Saturday in Budapest. The new Hungarian national drift champion, Tamás Magyar and his team has been competing in the Hungarian championship since 2015.

After multiple podium finishes in the general rankings and years of hard work their exemplary persistence and dedication to drifting has been paid off. Consistency was key during his road to the title: the newly crowned champion finished at least in Top 8 at each competition and he became the best Hungarian driver at both of the foreign rounds of the series at SlovakiaRing and Brno Circuit.

Michal Wojtan’s attempt for the gold medal did not seem to be succesful once again, the Polish drifter has to settle for the vice-champion title, just like one year ago. Magyar’s fellow teammate in Markom Racing Team, Oszkár Bócsik clinched the trophy for third place.
