Driver’s quotes
What a day in Mondello for the final round of the Irish Drift Championship we came away with P1 after an incredible battle with James Deane. The turn out was incredible to see, thank you to everyone for the support – it was a pleasure to drive in front of a home crowd again!
Jack Shanahan
P2 here after a sick final battle with Jack Shanahan. Such a fun weekend competing in the S14.9 back on home soil! To the Irish fans, unbelievable turn out and atmosphere! I can truly say the Irish DC is thriving once again! Congratulations to Duane McKeever 3rd and Tommy Kiely 4th. Next stop, FD Irwindale!
James Deane
It was great to be back at the weekend, drifting alongside all the new Irish talent. We got 4 practice runs before qualifying on Sunday, where we managed to get ourselves a 96.7 leaving us in 3rd position.
We battled our way to the Top 4, where I met Jack Shanahan and unfortunately debeaded tyres twice on both runs. We then had the 3rd and 4th playoffs with @tommykiely126, where I was able to take the advantage on this one because of my proximity on the first corner.
I am very happy with my 3rd place finish, and a nice way to finish off the competition season for me. Congratulations to @chrisbradydrifting for taking the Irish Drift Championship!
