DriftLeague GB is proud to announce a change to a more traditional format for the 2025 season. This format is designed to deliver more thrilling action for fans, reward drivers on a per-event basis, and reduce costs for competitors—all while reinforcing our commitment to ecological responsibility and sustainability.
New Competition Format
The 2025 season will follow a clear and more traditional two-day format.
• Saturday: Class 2 drivers will compete with practice, qualifying, and battle rounds, culminating in the selection of the top 4 drivers.
• Sunday: Class 1 drivers will take center stage, with the top 4 Class 2 drivers from Saturday joining the Class 1 grid for a chance to challenge DriftLeague’s top-tier competitors.
New Prize Structure
In a significant shift, DriftLeague GB will adopt a “prizes per round” structure, replacing traditional season-long prizes. This approach offers drivers more immediate recognition and reward for their performances at each event, adding excitement and value to every round.
Reduced Entry Costs
In response to driver feedback and the challenges of today’s financial climate, DriftLeague GB has worked hard to restructure costs. As a result, entry fees will be reduced significantly in 2025, ensuring more drivers can participate in events without compromising the high standards of competition.
Commitment to Sustainability
DriftLeague GB is also taking meaningful steps to deal with and reduce the environmental impact of its operations. actively seeking Partnership with the likes of Make It Wild, a leading conservation organization, we are looking to actively offset our carbon footprint through tree planting and rewilding projects. This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to ecological responsibility, balancing the thrill of motorsport with a commitment to preserving the natural world.
“Our new format, prize structure, and cost reductions are all part of making DriftLeague GB more dynamic, accessible, and sustainable,” said Gordon McIsaac, Director of Gtec Event Limited, owners of DriftLeague GB. “Through a partnership with the likes Make It Wild and other green initiatives, we’re demonstrating that motorsport can evolve to embrace both ecological responsibility and inclusivity.”
