Surprise: Al-Amri wins qualification as van Oort and Čirba are in Top5

The Oman International Drift Championship has started! Without James Deane, Juha Rintanen and NikNak but with van Oort, Čirba and Tomas Kiely.

Surprisingly, non-European drifter claimed the top position in qualification. Two Drift Masters representatives managed to qualify in the top 5. Clint van Oort scored 91,7 points in his second run and landed second.

Benediktas Čirba didn’t improve on his second run – 87,3 and fifth place for Lithuanian driver.

Ali Makhseed and Ahmad Daham qualified 6th and 8th, respectively, while Tomas Kiely was ninth. Sadly, Sebastian Fontjin was again unlucky in Oman and couldn’t qualify.

Tandem runs will start on Friday, 4:10 PM local time.
