Drift Masters

What can we expect from Drift Masters Italy?

2025 can be the year of Italian drifting: we have recently posted content about the calendar reveal of Drift Italy, but there is one more event that will electrify the drift fans of the Italian peninsula. As Drift Masters had announced their 2025 calendar, we could recognize an entirely new venue among the stages. The prestigious series will visit Italy for the first time in its history as the first round will be held 32km North of Rome at Vallelunga race track. Now, all eyes are on the opening race of Drift Masters in Italy, but what can we expect from it?

The capital of rich Italian history, culture, gastronomy and Christian culture, Rome was lucky to host the first-ever FIA Motorsport Games. Drifting was present alongside other motorsport disciplines at this event, offering an exciting mid-high-speed layout for the participating nations. The 2019 Motorsport Games is probably the largest drift event happening in the 73 years-long history of Vallelunga, but Drift Masters is ready to leave a footprint on Italian Drifting. After the last drift competition at the Vallelunga race track in 2023, organised by the Italian National Championship, the circuit is preparing to welcome some of the world’s best drift pilots on 25-26th April.

Although we have no information about the configuration to be used in 2025, as mentioned before, the FIA Grade 2 licensed venue may enrich the 2025 Drift Masters schedule with a relatively high-speed layout if the organizers rely on the previously applied versions. Besides the location, we are also eagerly looking forward to finding out more about the potential wild card drivers at the first-ever Drift Masters Italy. This event might provide extra motivation for local drivers to get part of the show, as we haven’t seen too many of them competing in this series. Manuel Vacca has previously been one of the outstanding domestic pilots driving the entire season in Drift Masters. At the same time, 2023 Italian and Hungarian national champion Luca Fuschini got the chance this year as a wild card in Hungary, Máriapócs. The question of wild cards is surrounded by great excitement and anticipation to find out which drivers will get the opportunity this time to challenge the 2025 driver’s grid of Drift Masters.
